Fibromyalgia is a rare disease that affects the muscles and joints of the whole body. Two to four percent of the world population is affected by this disease and new studies and research are showing that this disease will affect workplace productivity largely. Those workers who are doing the desk jobs are mainly affected by this disease and it is mainly affecting the desk work employees. Fibromyalgia is mainly present in women than men and along with joint and muscle pain, this disease also makes you tired and also affects your sleep schedule, and leads to a lack of sleep. This disease will be in the body for a long time and may even affect the social life of the patient. People suffering from this disease may feel pain in their body while touching the body parts. No matter how much sleep you get, you will feel less motivated, fatigued, and sleepy for the whole day which will later disrupt your daily life. Lack of sleep can also lead to problems like memory loss, cognitive impairment, and lack of concentration which later slowly lead the patient to anxiety and even depression too. One of the greatest challenges with this disease is it is not easy to diagnose with many tests. Psychological, neurological, and environmental reasons are also there behind the disease. Neurological imbalances can also cause this fibromyalgia. Jobs that require prolonged standing, frequent movement, and weightlifting will cause pain for the patients. Although there is no complete cure for this disease, there are ways to ease the symptoms antidepressants and cognitive behavior therapy will help in some extent.
