In New Delhi, Manish and Vicky went to collect an amount of Rs.75 Lakh in cash from someone near a hospital in Janakpuri Area of Delhi on January 13. They were asked to do so by Nitesh Goyal. Manish had just parked his vehicle in front of the office when four men robbed him on gun-point and fled on their bikes. A FIR was filed on January 14. No one had any information on who could have committed the theft.
The Police were in a very difficult situation as they had no suspects. After five days of integrated investigation, the Police has solved the case and identified the robbers. The thieves are in-custody and a hefty amount of Rs.60 Lakh has been recovered. Allegedly, the entire incident of the robbery was thoroughly thought of and plotted. After observing 300 Cameras and checking a 20 Km Radius, the police were successful. The accused made several efforts to cover their tracks but failed miserably.
The Special Commissioner of Law and Order, Ravindra Singh Yadav told the Times Of India that “The bikers not only stopped midway, removed their caps and changed their clothes, but even interchanged the pillion riders and the cash bags. They stopped again after 5 km and changed the route of both the bikes and went in opposite directions,”. Allegedly the accused were at the scene before the victims of the robbery arrived.
One of the bikes used was registered on Mukesh’s name. As Vicky was facing financial difficulties since the past few months, he wanted to earn money in a short duration which led him to plan this robbery with his friends. The Police have arrested 33-Year Old Vicky, 25-Year Old Robin, 50-Year Old Sudhanshu, 21-Year Old Abhishek and 23-Year Old Mukesh. A Case has been filed under IPC Sections 392 (Robbery), 397 (Robbery or Dacoity with an attempt to cause death or grievous hurt) and 34 (Common Interest).
