SPY-RPJ, comprised of Shivaji, Prashant, Yawar, Rani, Pallavi, and Jhansi, shared a deep-rooted friendship since childhood. Raised by Yashoda and Nanda as orphans, these six companions supported one another throughout their journey. From studying together in the same class to achieving their master’s in business administration, they now find themselves working as waiters in a cafe. While Rani, Pallavi, and Jhansi reside in a hostel, Shivaji occupies a different one, and Yawar and Prashant share another.
Residing in the vicinity of Yashoda’s house, they gather every day to enjoy each other’s company. On a beautiful day, Shivaji engages in conversation with Yashoda, requesting tea. Rani promptly prepares the tea and serves it to him. Concurrently, Yawar and Prashant discuss their startup business, while Jhansi and Pallavi attentively listen to their plans. Rani also lends her ear to the serious discussions and planning sessions as they collectively strategize for the future.
On the other side, Yashoda and Nanda engage in a conversation with Shivaji. Rani receives a call from an unknown number and answers it. Yashoda inquires, “Who is that, Rani?” Rani responds, “It’s an unknown call, Grandma.” Yashoda reassures, “It’s okay.” Rani departs from the location and heads to the cafe. Meanwhile, Yashoda engages in a discussion about Shivaji’s marriage with him. His friends eagerly await his response, but Shivaji evades the situation without providing an answer. This leaves all of them upset with his behavior. As the day concludes, everyone returns to their respective homes. Rani engages in casual conversation with her friends, while Shivaji retires to bed and falls asleep.
With the arrival of the sun, everyone convenes at Yashoda’s house. The atmosphere is filled with casual chatter, and Shivaji enjoys some light-hearted moments with Rani. However, things take a serious turn as Rani, abruptly changing her mood, fetches a bucket of water and playfully pours it over Shivaji. She asserts, “Don’t discuss my marriage. Just bother about yourself.”
She departs from the scene, and Yashoda hands Shivaji a towel. He proceeds to change his attire, leaving with an expression of anger. Yawar remarks, “This is a routine situation, don’t dwell on it too much. Grandma, just let them be. They are not able to understand what we are advising.”
Everyone departs from home to go to their workplaces. Two days later, Rani fails to return to her room at night, causing distress among her friends who promptly inform Yashoda. Worried, Shivaji enters, learning about the situation. With a tense facial expression, he declares, “Okay, let’s search for her. We need to find her as soon as possible. Yawar and Prashant, start inquiring with the neighbors. Keep me informed of any information you receive.”
Shivaji heads to the cafe and surveys the CCTV footage. Eventually, he visits an unfamiliar location outside the city, devoid of any other structures. Entering a dimly lit building that appears abandoned for many years, he finds Rani amid kidnappers. Shivaji engages in a fierce battle with them, successfully overcoming each adversary. Unfortunately, in the heat of the moment, he unintentionally ties a thread to Rani, symbolizing an unintended marriage. Rani, still unconscious, lies nearby as Shivaji deals a decisive blow to one of the kidnappers.
Finally, Shivaji gently pours water on Rani to bring her back to consciousness. Rani is shocked to see the auspicious thread and realizes she is now married to Shivaji. Speaking in a hushed tone, Shivaji says, “Grandma told me to bring you back safely.” Understanding the situation, Rani and Shivaji leave the place. Upon returning home, Yashoda is overjoyed to see Rani safe, and everyone shares in the happiness. However, Shivaji, feeling uneasy, leaves the home and contemplates the significance of the auspicious thread he unintentionally tied. Rani, too, is troubled by the presence of the auspicious thread.
Choosing not to go to their respective workplaces, Shivaji and Rani spend time alone. After three days, Rani packs her belongings and leaves her room without informing her friends. She goes to Shivaji’s room and knocks on the door. Shivaji opens the door, and his face registers shock as he gazes at Rani. Unperturbed, Rani enters the room without acknowledging his reaction. From that moment onward, they both reside in the same room. Shivaji and Rani keep their marriage a secret, choosing not to inform anyone about it.
They continue to maintain a friendly relationship, attending their workplaces and focusing on their tasks. After a week, Rani, wearing a serious expression, takes a seat, and everyone around sits in silence, engrossed in their work, observing Rani. Suddenly, a beautiful butterfly gracefully enters the room as an unexpected guest. Rani’s attention is captivated by the butterfly, and she smiles, attempting to catch it. In a lighthearted moment, everyone joins Rani in trying to capture the elusive butterfly. Unfortunately, none of them succeeds in catching it.
Finally, the butterfly escapes, and everyone looks at Rani in shock. Yashoda and her friends are astonished to see the auspicious thread around Rani’s neck. Despite the numerous questions from everyone, Rani remains silent and leaves the place.
