Lakers had their own fair share of ups and downs and they got their first bump in performance with a crushing loss of 125-110 to the Sacramento Kings. The Kings were stronger enough that they beat LeBron James despite his gallant effort and the Lakers.
Anthony Davis’ hip problems have hindered his performance.
Anthony Davis was having a difficult time with his left hip for a long time and scored only nine points in that particular match for him. He refused to put the blame for poor performance on the injury – “I just played bad, that’s all.”
Lakers Night of Frustration
At one point in the game, they were downed by 26, which the Lakers was on a three-game winning roll. Davis, who was obviously limping with his hip, wasn’t alone in this. The team combined for a total of 23 turnovers which was very pricey at the time, especially against the Kings.
LeBron James Shines Amidst Setback
In defeat, Lebron performed at his best with a triple double which makes him the oldest man in NBA history to have such stats. However, with the absence of notable personalities such as Jarred Vanderbilt and Gabe Vincent, the lakers have a modest record of 6-6.
Davis Vows to Bounce Back
However, Davis maintains hopeful spirit as the next game is up against the Portland Trail Blazers. Despite a tough schedule, coach Darvin Ham explained that it is necessary to study cases from mistakes and do next.
After saving their game, the Lakers commenced a late come back to reduce the lead to only 9 points. Nonetheless, the Kings refused to give up and won. A tough game at six wins and six losses gives lessons to the Lakers who are now ready for another tight schedule.
