36-year old Texas Based Nephiterea Sancho has been arrested on Wednesday. She was charged with capital-murder of a child under 10-years of age. Sancho allegedly murdered her 6-year old daughter, Hosanna. According to reports, around 3:00Pm on Wednesday, a disturbance call was made to the Police from Frontera Crossing Apartments Off Watson Road in San Antonio.
The 6-year old child was found unresponsive. There is a possibility of a wound to her upper-body but the cause of death is still unknown. According to a statement made by Sergeant Washington Moscoso, “the child did die from trauma to the body, just not a gunshot wound”. Later, the accused was seen running around at the scene with no clothing on. Nephiterea has allegedly been in facilities to get treatment for her mental conditions. She has been previously charged for injuring children.
Hosanna’s family shared with the NBC News 4 San Antonio that she “played the violin, learned how to do the perfect cartwheels, and was teaching her cousins how to do it too. She loved to swim and loved the water. She wanted to be a cheerleader and ride the school bus for the first time, and she never got to do that.” What made the accused woman take her own daughter’s life so brutally? The pain the girl must have gone through is incomprehensible. The police have still not identified the actual cause of the death.
Hosanna Sancho had dreams just like any other child would but could anyone have imagined that her mother would be the one taking all of that away from her and be the reason for Hosanna’s death. Why was the woman permitted to keep the child with her self despite her mental illness and instability? Is it the ignorance of the Child Protective Services ? Or is there some information that has been missed during the Police Investigation?
Nephiterea Sancho is currently held on a $1 Million Bond. There is no information on whether she has entered the plea or reached out to an attorney. What would the jury do to serve justice in this case? A lunatic has notoriously inflicted harm on young-children and has inflicted death on her own child. According to researchers, child abusers have an uncaring nature and attitude towards children. They are unable to understand that the child is in distress and are often in denial of problems. Instead, Child-Abusers blame the child for their problems. So does Sancho realise what she did to her own daughter? Or is she blinded by all these complex emotions still?
