According to police, a 55-year-old man and his 22-year-old son died after being stabbed following a dispute with neighbours in the Chirag Delhi vicinity. The police further stated the 55-year-old found to be Jai Bhagwan and his 22-year-old son, Shubham were cable workers.
Based on police investigation, they were informed about a stabbing incident around Kumhar Chowk in Chirag Delhi at around 8 pm on Sunday.
Ankit Chauhan, DCP South stated, “We received a call at 8 pm and the caller said that someone had stabbed his father. Upon reaching it was discovered that 4-5 people had stabbed Jai Bhagwan and his son. The investigation is underway. Many cases were registered against the deceased, Jai Bhagwan, that include murder, attempt to murder, snatching etc.”
The police also informed that a forensic sweep had been done on the murder location and the deceased remains have been sent for a post-mortem. But so far, the cause for the stabbings seems to be a feud.
The police also said that a case has been registered and an investigation has been already launched.
However, the members of the deceased’s family have alleged that the persons incriminated had previously attacked them with stones but the police had taken no action on this incident in spite of several complaints that the family had previously expressed.
Further investigations are underway and more information is expected.
