A 27-year-old woman was allegedly killed under suspicious conditions at a hotel room in Gurugram. The victim recognised as Divya Pahuja, was killed by Abhijeet Singh, who is the owner of City Point Hotel where the murder took place.
The gruesome incident took place on January 2, 2024. While entering the hotel with Abhijeet and another person at 4 am, Divya had no clue about the turn of events. At night, Abhijeet and two others were caught on CCTV dragging Divya’s body in a wrapped sheet from the hotel to BMW at 10:45 pm on Tuesday. The murder is being investigated based on CCTV footage, with several officers from Crime Branch, conducting raids in Punjab and other areas to trace the body. Cases like these churn all the emotions of the human race and raise questions about the morals and values of mankind.
Three people including accused Abhijeet and two others Prakash and Indraj were arrested by Crime Branch. Both Prakash and Indraj were employed at Abhijeet’s hotel. Abhijeet and others were booked based on the complaint of the victim’s family. Notably, Divya Pahuja was the prime suspect in the gangster Sandeep Gadoli’s ‘fake’ encounter in 2016. Divya’s family has complained that the murder was planned by gangster Sandeep Gadoli’s sister Sudesh Kataria and his brother Brahm Prakash. An FIR has been lodged. This mishap looks like a clear case of revenge. This horrible incident has past connections as evidence shows.
It is alleged that Abhijeet with two other men committed the murder and then paid 10 lakhs to his accomplices to dispose of Divya’s body. The former model, her mother and five police officers were booked for the murder of Gadoli “fake” encounter on February 6, 2016, in Mumbai. Divya was imprisoned for 7years before getting bail.
