On Friday, a restaurant worker aged 22 was killed in Delhi, according to police officials. An argument regarding money ensued with his ex-employer as well as an extramarital affair with the ex-employer’s wife instigated his killing.
The man identified to be Sachin Kumar was employed as a waiter in a famous restaurant at Connaught Place in Delhi. Hashib Khan repeatedly stabbed Kumar after he pressured his wife to make Kumar come to their house.
The perpetrator, Hashib Khan, a 31-year-old man owned a T-shirt-producing warehouse in Sangam Vihar of South Delhi. His wife identified to be Shabina Begum and Khan have been apprehended, as per police officials.
Devesh Kumar Mahla, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (New Delhi) said that Sachin had gone missing from Connaught Place the previous Sunday, due to which his family lodged a kidnapping case in the police station.
Kumar’s call information revealed his last location to be in Sangam Vihar, resulting in the police officials’ suspicion on Hashib Khan, who was Kumar’s ex-employer.
As per police investigation, Kumar had taken Rs.2 lakh as a loan from Khan. After interrogating Hashib and his wife, it was revealed that Kumar had an alleged extramarital affair with Hashib’s wife.
After Hashib found out about the alleged affair, he forced his wife to call Kumar to their house the previous Sunday and that is where he stabbed Kumar to death, according to police reports. Both, Hashib and his wife put Kumar’s body in their car and threw it in a jungle area in Dasna, according to police.
Kumar’s family was worried and called the police when he did not come back home that night and Kumar’s cell phone was found to be switched off as well.
Kumar had been employed at Khan’s factory for more than a year and had left his job because of an argument over money, as said Mohit, his brother who lived in Aligarh. Even though Kumar had already paid back Rs. 1 lakh, he was apparently pressurized over phone calls for more money.
