22-Year Old Noah Roush and 32-Year Old Jatonia Bryant escaped from the Jefferson County Jail in Pine Bluff. Also referred to as the W.C Dub Brassell Adult Detention Centre, the prisoners allegedly escaped around 10:30am on Monday, 22nd January.
However, according to the surveillance footage, the runaways made their escape on Saturday, January 20 according to Operations Commander Major Bean. On Wednesday, January 24, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office announced an incentive of $2,500 to anyone who provides any information on the whereabouts of Noah and Jatonia, contributing to their capture.
Noah Roush had been detained against charges of burglary whereas Jatonia Bryant was detained for murder charges (in a shooting). The escapees were declared dangerous and were possibly carrying weapons. After a long search and investigation one of the escapee has been apprehended.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s office has been assisted by the Pine Bluff Police Department Vice and Narcotics, Arkansas State Police and Arkansas Department of Correction. Noah Roush was captured in Pine Bluff, about 40 miles away from Little Rock, Arkansas. There is no more information on the incident. Jatonia Bryant has still not been traced, there have been no findings on his whereabouts.
According to research by Stume Journals, a jail escapee experiences extroversion, level of neuroticism, impulsiveness, persistence, rigidity and narcissism. It reveals their tolerance for risk and vulnerability, explorative attitude and expressiveness for autonomy which contradicts the self condemnation, guilt and boredom experienced by prisoners generally. Does this mean that Noah and Jatonia did not regret the crimes the comitted?
