He added that Kripanshi’s grandmother fainted on seeing the girl in that situation. The body was discovered by her family around 8:00Pm. Her family called her out for dinner. When they got no response from her end, they found the door locked and then proceeded to break it open.
On finding the deceased body, her family immediately took her to the hospital but she was declared ‘brought dead’. Parents looks out for their children always. They guide their wards and look out for them. Being scolded and shouted at by a parent is something every child comes across in their life especially for a petty topic like excess usage of mobile phone. What made Kripanshi kill herself over this? How could she have taken such a big step to take her own life just because her father shouted at her? She was a Grade 10 Student, she was surely mature. Is the information shared about the cause of the incident true?.
In today’s world, everyone takes a step to speak out on mental health awareness and suicide whether it be through social media posts or in front of a podium during a mass event but how many of us realised that we began giving a mere wave of sadness in our lives the name depression? We stopped understanding the depth ‘Depression’ holds. Amidst emphasising on Mental Health and spreading awareness we stopped realising the sensitivity of these topics and how they should be spoken about. Several acts which were considered ‘normal’ were now being considered as a cause for depression. Is a parent scolding their child over their excess usage of phone a cause?.
