External affairs minister S Jaishankar in a statement on Israel-Hamas ongoing war has expressed a concern over the death of civilians stating that Palestinian have been denied from their homelands.
Mr jai shankar who is on a visit to Malaysia, on interaction with the indian community during an event expressed his feelings regarding the Israel-Hamas war.
He stated that whatever the wrong or right with the issue but the fact is underlying rights of the palestinians have been denied from there home lands.He also urge israel to show kindness toward international humanitarian law in ongoing retaliation in israel-hamas war. Additionally,he also addressed October 7,attack was a terrorist attack.
Furthermore,he added “how different pulls and pressures can be.On one hand,what happened on October 7 was terrorist attack.On the other hand nobody would justify the death of innocent civilians.Countries may be justified in their minds in responding ,but you can not have a response that every response must take into account something called International Humanitarian Law”, Jaishankar said.
However,the India has continued to support the “two state solution”to the ongoing israel-hamas war.
On October 7,2023, the horrifying incident took place at southern part of Esrael.In which around hundreds of civilians including women and childrens were killed in attack by hamas terrorist and over more than 200 Israel’s were made hostage by the territories.
After which Israel launched the counter offence against Hamas in Gaza.According to the Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu claimed that counter offence were aimed to free all the hostage under the Hamas custody and to completely destroy the terrorist network in Gaza.
In November,2023, there was a brief ceasefire in which hundred of hostage under the Hamas custody were freed in exchange of to release Palestinians hostage. However the efforts and negotiation to release of other Israel hostage and war have failed, after which the war resulted in the death of over more than 32,000 people in Gaza according to Gaza minister.
