Ahead of Lok Sabha elections Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday announced five “Mahila Nyay” guarantees , including annually Rs 1 lakh to every poor women and ensuring 50 per cent of reservation in government jobs if congress win the up coming Lok Sabha elections .
addressing women’s rally in Maharashtra Dhule district as a part of Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra Rahul Gandhi announced its five “Mahila Nyay” guarantees. while targeting the Modi government in rally Gandhi said “our guarantee is unlike modi promises which fails to deliver, modi government has given one-third of reservation to women in Lok Sabha and state legislature but it has decided to implement after 10 years.
furthermore, he added When we came to power we will immediately start depositing Rs 1 lack annually in the bank accounts of economically disadvantage women this will be called “Mahalaxmi Guarantee” .as far as possible the amount will be directly transferred to women bank accounts . if they do not have accounts it will lead them to open there own bank accounts . said Gandhi.
In another guarantee he said 50 per cent of reservation for women in center government institute has been reserved. “ In some state such plans has already being implemented but we will do in the center government reservation . there are lacks of center government posts are vacant . we will start filling the post immediately after we voted in power ” , he said .
Rahul Gandhi also promised that the salary of women working in ASHA ( Accredited Social Health Activist ) , and women working in Anganwadi (government run women and child care centers ) and mid-day melas will be doubled .
“Noble officer would be appointed in every district to educate women about their right and help in fight their cases “ Rahul Gandhi added.
While addressing the really Rahul Gandhi said that Maharashtra is a land of social reforms like Savitraibai Phule . “ in her honor we will set-up Savitraibai Phule hostels in every district of Maharashtra for working women. this we will plan to do immediately after coming to power”, he said .
