A 46-year-old man held by Delhi police for kidnapping a seven-year-old boy from his neighborhood over personal disputes with boy’s parents and attempting to drown him in the river ganga . Reportedly disclose on Tuesday march 19.
The matter came to light when boy’s parents calls PCR regarding the missing of his son from his residence Dayalpur, revealed DCP (Northeast) Joy Tirkey .
Soon after specialize investigation team lead by the SHO of Dayalpur started a search operation. with the help of combination of CCTV cameras which was installed in the area lead them to identified suspect. Said the DCP
Later the police traced the location of the suspect which lead them to Kalkatti Mandir Sambhal on the ganga river bank . said the DCP.
Furthermore, he added the photo of the kidnapped boy and kidnapper shown to the locals for any clues but could not get any clue . the police team started search in Dharamshala and various temples in the area. The announcements were also made from temples and mosques . said the DCP.
Later, they trace the location of the accused to the Raj Ghat 60 kilometers away from the Sambhal village and contacted the sarpanch, a door to door search were also made . said the officials .
On march 16, the police got information about the suspect being seen at the Raj Ghat Railway Station . the team immediately rush to Railway Station and started search operation .
Meanwhile, the suspect notice the presence of police at the Railway Station and try to flee from the location . However he caught by the police .
According to the victim’s statement given to police he said accused called his parents and demanded money, and he also try to drown him in ganga , the official said .
Based on boy’s statement, the police filed the FIR under the Indian Penal Code section 364-A (kidnapping) section 307 ( attempt to murder) against the accused.
Later the accused confessed the crime and disclosed that he has some issues with the boy’s family and to teach them a lesson he commit the crime . said the DCP.
