A 40-year-old mentally unstable husband killed his wife by cutting off her head.
A man was walking around a bus stop with the chopped wife’s head in one hand and a dagger in another hand, making threats around. With the blood staining all of his body, he was yelling by raising the chopped head and making people gather there.
On February 14, when the whole of West Bengal was celebrating Saraswati Puja, a dreadful incident took place in West Bengal’s Purba Medinipur district. Police came to the spot an hour later and found the body of Fulrani Guchhait. Witnesses said the police sent the body to the postmortem.
Police arrested this man, named Goutam Guchhait, who is 40 years old.
According to the police, he committed this incident due to some family problems, then went to a close bus stand with his wife’s chopped head, where the deadly incident was captured.
His parents said he has mental issues and stated that three years ago, he jumped into a lion’s cave in the Alipore Zoo by climbing a 14-foot wall and crossing two net boundaries.
