A tragic accident again occurred near the wharf of Ramban Nation Highway in Jammu and Kashmir, but it is good that the rescue operation took place right after the accident. Unfortunately, the car and the riders are still missing.
A minimum of 10 passengers had died due to the accident when a cab fell into the wharf of Ramban’s National Highway in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, March 28th. According to an official report, the cab car was travelling to Srinagar from Jammu-Kashmir, but it went out of control and fell into the wharf of the Ramban Highway. According to an official report, the wharf 330 feet deep, and according to the locals, it happened around 1.15 a.m. near the Cheshma area of the district.
Amid the heavy rain, the bodies of the passengers have been recovered by the police, and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel are at the spot. As per the officials, 47-year-old Balwan Singh, who was the car driver, and Vipin, who was the Mukhiya Bhairagang of West Champaran in Bihar, were among the dead.
Officials stated that it is a relief that the rescue operation was immediately launched. Due to rain and darkness, the rescue operation has still not been able to trace the ill-fated vehicle and its occupants, and the rescue operation was restarted with the first light on Friday morning.
