As per the report, Abhijit Ganguly, the judge of the Calcutta High Court, will be resigning his job to join politics. Now the question is: which political party is he choosing for himself?
Abhijit Ganguly, who is popularly known for his position, Abhijit Ganguly is the judge of the Calcutta High Court, and recently he was in the news for his statement to the media reporters. He is going to resign his position on March 5, 2024, five months before his retirement.
He didn’t say it explicitly, but according to his statement, people and the media assume that he might want to join any political platform. This is catching people’s attention because, in the history of the Constitution, we barely see that a high court judge is quitting his position to join politics. Now people are eager to know why he is making such a decision.
In a statement to a media report, he stated that he was going to resign from the post of judge in the High Court in Calcutta. For the last two or more years, he has been dealing with some matters, especially education matters, regarding which huge corruption has been discovered and unearthed. A large number of important people in the education sector of this government are now languishing in jail, under trial.
Thereafter, now he is taking care of labour matters. There are also large scams by employers concerning provident fund gratuity, etc., and he has also passed certain orders in those respects. But what he had failed while doing these matters of labour, labour legislation, was that he felt that his job in this duty was over. This is the call of his conscience.
In his statement, he added hints about joining a political party. He stated, Now he should go to the larger people, the larger area. So he thought that only the political field could give people who wanted to take steps in respect of those helpless people a chance to act for them. But it is clear that after criticising so much about TMC, he will not choose TMC as his political platform.
