A businessman killed his wife brutally due to her extramarital affair. He recorded her wife’s dead body, sent it to the society group, and apologised to the neighbours. Later, he confessed his crime in front of the police.
The incident took place in Shantivan Niwas in Ambika township, near Nana Mauva Road in Rajkot. On Tuesday morning, a resident of Shantivan Niwas got a video where a man was brutally killing his wife. In that video, the businessman Gurupa Jiroli apologises to the residents, saying that he killed his wife by the heat of the moment.
Later, Jiroli claimed that his wife Ambika was having an extramarital affair with his friend and wanted to run away with her lover while Jiroli was trying to convince her wife to stay until their daughter’s 10th grade, but she refused. They had their argument around 2 a.m., but in the heat of the moment, Jiroli smashed his wife’s head with something heavy.
After sending the video to the residents, Jiroli called the police by 5:30 am and confessed to some in front of the police.
According to the police report, the couple’s were in their 40’s, and they had a teen daughter and a 10-year-old boy. Jiroli is a road construction businessman and a resident of Solapur. By 2003, they had moved to Rajkot, and it is not clear that the victim was having an affair. The man was retarded by the police and lodged an FIR.
Assistant Commissioner of Police BJ Chaudhary stated they will go for further information and investigate the matter. It was also stated that police will investigate Jiroli’s close ones so that they will know with whom the victim was having an affair.
