According to the Police, on Wednesday, the Nepalese Mayor’s daughter aged 36-year-old was found in a hotel, this occurred two days after she was registered as unaccountable from Goa.
The missing woman identified to be Aarti Hamal was traced to a hotel situated in the Chopdem village in North Goa, nearly 20km from where she was reported missing on the 25th of March, the police further said.
A higher police official stated, “Hamal was reported missing from the Oshi meditation centre near Mandrem in North Goa, where she arrived from Nepal a month back. The management of Osho meditation centre had registered a missing person’s FIR at the police station of Mandrem.” Before her disappearance, Hamal was sighted in Siolim in North Goa on the 25th of March, as per police officials’ statement.
The police official said, “A massive search operation was launched across the state to trace her.” They also said bystanders alleged that Hamal was completely aware of her surroundings when she was last sighted. He said, “She has been routinely coming to Goa. She left behind her cell phone at the meditation centre, so she could not be traced with the help of technical surveillance.”
The state police had begun their probe in the hotels in and nearby Pernem and Mandrem regions of the North of Goa, the police said. He informed, “On Wednesday, Hamal was discovered in a hotel located in the Chopdem village with two other women, her friends.” So far, statement recordings of Hamal are underway coinciding with the arrival of her family in Goa.
