On the 2nd of April 2024, Murli Seva Sansthan (Swaranjali Sanskriti Sansthan) hosted the 2024 Holi celebration programme. The Murli Seva Sansthan was founded by Padmamini Singh along with 250 women, who at the outset ran a small unit where goods created by underprivileged women selling them was their main activity, and the profit was utilized to support them. Secretary of Swaranjali Sanskriti Sansthan, Anjali Singh, assured the organization its unwavering desire to continue hosting the cultural programs of different languages, which mesmerized the audiences and brought joy into their lives through the charming performances of the artists.
The main goals of the program encompass protecting folk tradition lively and passing it down to the generations to come. These folks of different age group came out and showed off their favorite folksong, hymn among other different genres. An event to mark the day was to take place in the temple courtyard under the supervision of riot police.
A lottery was given to Preeti Lal, the renowned folk singer who sang really touching songs, and there were also wonderful performances that were given by other singers. Vimal Pant, a well known folk singer (Kumaoni Kokila) offered the intellectual support of his presence, and Padma Gidwani moved folk dancers with her spirit.
There were two more guests- Rachna Chturvedi from Ashiyana and Neelu Trivedi which was a social worker also. Those were Ahmedabad’s top performers that night, and every one of them cast their spell on the audience with their voices: Aparna Singh, Suman Sharma, Poonam Kanwal, Kavita, Sushma Prakash, Rita Rastogi, Abha, Shashi Singh,Manju Srivastava, and Rashmi Upadhyay.
Team leaders Padmamini Singh and Anjali Singh are already planning much better programs that will combine music and fine arts for people of all ages. Rekha Bajpai (D.G.P. Reserved Police Women) and Shalini Shahi not only ensure the event to be successful but also support it fully.
