The German luxury carmaker, Mercedes-Benz sold total of 17,408 units in 2023(10% high) compared to previous year figure of 15,822 units in 2022,which was also its all-time high figure until then.
Apart from this, the company also recorded its best-ever H2 and best-ever Q4 sales in India. The german luxury carmaker sustained its legacy in the Indian luxury car market for the ninth consecutive year & hopes to go further in upcoming years by plans to launch 12 more cars this year to keep up the momentum.
Digging deeper into the details,25% of its sale came from S-Class Maybach limousine, GLS Maybach SUV, performance-oriented AMGs, S-Class and GLS models which are Top End Vehicles(TEV) provided by the carmaker and costed over 1 crore for each model.Company Sold 3500 TEV models priced over 1 crore in 2023 & around 6000 WIP models to be sold out.
While,Sales of this luxurious carmaker shows a postive trend year by year, company is determined to focused on electric car segment also as growing customer demand for Benz-BEV portfolio.This portfolio includes models like EQB SUV, EQE SUV and EQS sedan and another 3 models in a lineup this year.
Recently,company has launched its brand new model of GLS SUV priced at Rs 1.32-1.37 crore (ex-showroom, India) with both options, Petrol & Diesel.This model will be competing with BMW X7 & Audi Q8.
As foreseeable-brighter future,Mercedes Benz will be investing Rs 200 crore in new products, manufacturing operations and digitisation to continue its luxurious carmaking legacy in forthcoming years.
