In Jharkhand, a teacher has been accused of killing two colleagues at a Government School. This incident took place in the Godda District over a “love affair”. The suspect tried to attempt suicide after inflicting fatal injuries on the victims.
The case took place during the early hours at Chatra Upgraded School in Poraiyahat. “The bodies of two teachers, including a woman, were found in a pool of blood in a school room. The accused teacher was also discovered seriously injured” said Godda Superintendent of Police, Nathu Singh Meena.
On hearing the gunshots, all the students and staff rushed in a state of confusion and fear. When they tried to access the room from where the gunshots were, it was locked. They then proceeded to call the Police.
Nathu Singh Meena “Police broke open the door, finding both teachers shot in the head, already dead. The accused teacher attempted suicide by shooting himself on the right side of his head,”. He added “Prima facie, it seems to be a case of a love affair. Villagers and students suggested romantic relationships between the male teachers and the woman teacher.”
The victims have been identified as 35-Year Old Sujata Mishra, 40-Year Old Adarsh Singh. The offender has been identified as 42-Year Old Ravi Ranjan. Sujata Mishra was shot once and Adarsh Singh was shot thrice. The Police have seized two-country made pistols. Ravi Ranjan is in a critical situation at Godda’s Sardar Hospital.
Amidst love and affiliation, people are often betrayed. While every individual is expected to move on simply, some find it difficult and take irrational steps against the one that hurt them. This case is no different. Police Investigation is ongoing and the accused will be convicted.
