According to an official report, since 2019, India’s foreign intelligence agency has started assassinations abroad to achieve national security.
According to the Guardian, a UK newspaper, as part of a wider strategy to remove terrorists who were living on foreign soil, the Indian government started killing individuals in Pakistan. It is also to be noticed in a report that Sikh separatists associated with them were also targeted by the Khalistan movement as part of these operations, which were held in Pakistan and the West. It is also said that according to the information received after getting an interview with intelligence officials in India and Pakistan and the documents shared by Pakistani investigators, India’s foreign intelligence agency has begun carrying out killings abroad, which is part of the movement to achieve national security after 2019.
In that report, it is also stated that India’s Research and Analysis Wing, also known as RAW, is directly conducted by India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is preparing for the upcoming 2024 Lok Sabha election, which is slated to begin on April 19. Before this, India was also accused by Ottawa and Washington of conducting murders of Sikh activists in Canada, and last year, India was also accused of being involved in a failed secret killing attempt by another Sikh in the United States.
The Guardian quoted that: After Pulwama, the approach changed to target the elements outside the country before they are able to launch an attack or create any disturbance. They also added that they could not stop the attacks because, ultimately, their safe havens were in Pakistan, so we had to get to the source. He added that to conduct such operations, they needed approval from the highest level of government.
