Before the dawn of Nausena Bhawan, the Navy juggled operations from a staggering 13 different locations. The need for a consolidated, purpose-built facility like Nausena Bhawan was long overdue, providing the Navy with a centralized hub equipped with the latest in modern technology and facilities.
The architectural blueprint of this architectural marvel emerged victorious through a rigorous nationwide competition, ensuring not only functionality but also aesthetic appeal. Comprising three wings soaring four stories high, the edifice integrates innovative construction technologies aimed at maximizing efficiency and sustainability, according to officials.
Within the complex, a concerted effort towards energy and water conservation is palpable, evident through the seamless integration of solar generation systems and state-of-the-art building materials. The hybrid reinforced cement concrete construction system employed in its creation allows for the swift construction of vast spans, while the design harmoniously blends with natural elements, boasting landscaped gardens and internal courtyards.
Internally, Nausena Bhawan fosters a congenial atmosphere, facilitated by advanced heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems utilizing cutting-edge oxidation plasma technology.
Moreover, the complex is fortified with a state-of-the-art integrated building management system, ensuring seamless coordination and surveillance of security services and utility systems. Its stellar commitment to sustainable practices is underscored by its attainment of a green rating IV under the Integrated Habitability Assessment.
Security at Nausena Bhawan is of paramount importance, featuring a comprehensive three-tier system incorporating cutting-edge technologies such as automatic underbelly scanning of vehicles, power fences, and facial recognition.
Embracing modern office practices, Nausena Bhawan boasts extensive IT infrastructure supported by Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, promoting a paperless work environment and effortlessly meeting the stringent network requirements of the Navy.
In essence, Nausena Bhawan epitomizes the Navy’s relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation, symbolizing India’s unwavering commitment to maritime prowess and national security.
