Six people have died in Yamuna Nagar district of Haryana over the last two days and cause of death being methanol poisoning by illicit liquor said PTI.
The SP of the area Ganga Ram Punia says ” In the afternoon, we received the information that a youth had died after consuming alcohol. after this information, the team reached there and talked to the concerned doctor and relatives.
The police confirms that the investigations are still underway but they have identified a few accused and some have been arrested.
Acc to the SP of the area ” One person has died in the hospital and two have been admitted to the hospital apart from this five people have suspiciously died in the village”. On this matter the police have raided many places, and have got many important pieces of evidence too; reports ANI.
In 2021, spurious alcohol scummed 186 people to death, 133 in Punjab, 13 in Himachal and 10 in Haryana.
