The police authority in Haryana on Wednesday announced that they have initiated the passport and visa cancellation process against only those individuals who are involved in breaking barricades or causing disturbance at the Punjab border during the recent farmers protest.
Ambala DSP Joginder Singh said that, “ we are taking action against only those individuals who are involved in creating disturbance during the whole farmers protest . We have started the process of communication with the authority concerned in this regard”.
Furthermore, he added action has been initiated against those individuals who have come from Punjab to Haryana during farmers’ protest with the intention of creating disturbance and tension. “Through CCTV or drone cameras and videography we have identified the faces of such people who have been involved in breaking barricades and causing disturbance. We have also taken numerous photographs in which they are seen distorting public and private properties and causing disturbance through different means,” said the DSP.
The police officer clarified that not all participants of farmers’ protest are involved in this act.
The officer further mentioned that they have begun the process to cancel their passport and visa by contacting passport and visa authority and the concerned embassies. “ We are initiating action for the passport visa cancellation by infiltrating their photos and residential details”, added the officer.
Meanwhile, Haryana farmer union leaders, have claimed that state police has put up a notice on there house, and state that the damage of public and private properties caused during the farmers protest will be recovered by seizing farmers properties and freezing there bank account.
