On Monday, After being summoned by the enforcement directorate (ED) for the eighth time in connection with the Delhi excise policy case ,CM said that he was ready to answer the probe agency question.
Despite the agency issuing several summons to cm, has not appeared for the questioning but responded in writing .
“ Even though the summons are illegal I am ready to answer the questions”, said the cm. Seeking a date after March 12, Kejriwal has said he will respond to questions via video conferencing.
In the past, Kejriwal has termed the summons illegal for not informing him of the capacity his presence required in — as an accused or a witness as the chief minister or as AAP president.
Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal skipped the ED’s summons for the seventh time on February 27 stating that since the matter was before the court, which has asked him to appear on March 16, the agency should wait for it .
The ED had approached the court, filing a complaint against the chief minister for “intentionally” non complying with the summons issued to him.
On Monday Arvind Kejriwal alleged ED and Central Government for approaching court and not waiting for the court decision.
Furthermore he added, “ on the one hand they are going to court and on the other hand summons are being sent, don’t the ED and Central Government have faith in court? Their aim is to somehow break INDIA bloc,” said the cm.
