The recent mishap in the US state of Massachusetts have been officially claimed to be a Murder-Suicide after the examination of the autopsy results. The deaths of the wealthy Indian origin couple and their college going daughter has raised a question on humanity. Rakesh Kamal, 57, his wife Teena Kamal, 54 and their college going teenage daughter, 18 were found dead in their USD 5 million mansion in Dover, Massachusetts on December 28, 2023.
A press release issued by the office of Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey on Tuesday confirmed that the autopsy results from the Office of Chief Medical Examiner had determined Teena and Arianna were victims of homicide resulting from gunshot wounds. Rajesh died from a gunshot wound consistent with being self-imposed. The final autopsy report is likely to be completed in the coming weeks. This horrible incident churns a lot of emotions in public. A very bad thing happened which took three lives. A young soul lost in this whole incident.
A firearm was found near Rakesh Kamal. Notably the firearm was not issued in Rakesh’s name, and it has been revealed that he did not own the obligatory licence for it’s ownership. As investigators succeed with their examination, it has been highlighted that the firearm found with Rakesh is consistent with .40 calibre Glock 22, although the full forensic and ballistics testing of the weapon is still pending. The incident remains under investigation by Dover and Massachusetts State Police. Last week , Morrissey said that initial investigation showed traces of domestic violence and did not show any clue regarding external interference. Massachusetts State Police have contacted the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for assistance in determining the origin of the firearm.
