UP’s Budaun area’s resident, who was a barber by profession, got killed in a police encounter for killing two children and seriously harming a third one with his axe.
A tragic incident took place on Tuesday in UP’s Budaun Baba Colony area, where a barber killed two innocent children and critically harmed a third one with his axe. He ran away from the spot after such a cruel incident, but later, in a police encounter, he got killed.
The accused was identified as Sajid, who was a barber by profession. As per a media report, the two boys were playing on their terrace when the accused, Sajid, came to their house and kissed them. The older one was 11 years old, and the younger one was six years old. They were the prey of such a tragic situation. In protest of such a crime, the angered locals started to demolish vehicles and set fire to them, making a fuss at the police station.
The only eyewitness to this crime who was also injured by Sajid stated in a media report that the man from the salon had come there. He took his brothers upstairs; I don’t know why he killed them. He tried to attack him too, but he pushed away his knife, pushed him away, and ran down. He was the third brother of those victims. He also added that he suffered injuries to my hand and head.
On Tuesday, Bareilly Inspector General Rakesh Kumar stated that the issue is under investigation and added that an unfortunate incident occurred this evening. When police reached the spot, the accused tried to run away. The accused fired at the police, and in retaliation, the accused died on the spot. The age of the accused is between 25 and 30.
Badaun District Magistrate Manoj Kumar stated that the bodies sent to the postmortem and the reason behind this cold-blooded murder have yet to be revealed. He also added that this evening, information was received that a young man entered a house in Baba Colony and killed two children. Some people became angry about it, and they were calmed. He also added that they have sent the body for a post-mortem. It has been assured that fair action will be taken. The ages of the children who died were around 11 and six years old. No reason is clear yet. This is a matter of investigation.
