A B.Tech student killed his 37-year-old aunt for not helping him to clear his debt of 50,000 rupees.
It was a missing case in Bangalore on February 13, which was later investigated as a murder case. The victim, Sukanya D, was a housekeeping staff member who was murdered by her 20-year-old nephew, Jaswanth. On Feb. 12, Sukanya was missing. Her husband filed a missing case when Sukanya didn’t return home on February 12th.
Later, police investigated that Jaswanth called on her phone number several times, whose location was matching Sukanya in KR Puram. When the police tried to investigate him about the trace of Sukanya, he denied knowing anything about her. Later, when the police showed him the call records, he admitted his crime.
According to the police investigation, Jaswanth is a B.Tech. computer science student, and her closest relative was his aunt Sukanya D. Last year, he had an accident where he promised that he would compensate Rs.50000 for not lodging a police case. He hoped her aunt would help her with money, but Sukanya denied it, saying she had no money to give him.
The accused confessed his crime; he was intending to rob her gold jewellery. He picked Sukanya up from her workplace on February 12th and asked her for money. When she denied it, Jaswanth choked her, dumped her body in S. Bingipura village, and later burned her body with petrol.
The police said he snatched a gold chain from her and sold it for Rs 95,000. Later, he cleared his debt and had a party with his friends in Goa.
