Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal went to visit the Hanuman temple in Connaught Place, and after that, he will hold a roadshow in south Delhi along with Bhagwant Mann, Punjab’s CM.
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal finally got interim bail granted by the Supreme Court till June 1, and the day after his bail, on Saturday, the Aam Aadmi Party chief Kejriwal visited the Hanuman Temple in Connaught Place along with his wife Sunita Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann. To pray before starting the Lok Sabha polls campaigning in the capital today.
The Delhi Minister and AAP leader, Atishi, were also present at the temple premises before the Delhi CM came. She stated that yesterday, after walking out of the jail, Arvind Kejriwal said that he would come here to Hanuman Temple to seek his blessings. Today, he is coming here with his family and other party leaders. Some days ago, Sunita Kejriwal came to the Hanuman Temple and said that she hoped she would come here with Arvind Kejriwal soon.
Delhi Minister and AAP’s member Saurabh Bhardwaj addressed the interim bail as a “miracle” and added his statement that: When Arvind Kejriwal was put behind bars in a false case, Sunita Kejriwal had said that she would come to here to the Hanuman Temple with Arvind Kejriwal… He got bail in 50 days in the PMLA court, which is a miracle and can happen with the blessings of Hanuman Ji. Police elaborate security arrangements, which are made outside Hanuman Mandir in Connaught Place today, before Kejriwal’s arrival at the temple.
It is well known that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal stayed in Tihar jail for 50 days after his arrest by ED. He was accused of being in connection with the money laundering case, which was filed by the Enforcement Directorate under the now-scraped Delhi Excise Policy 2021–22. On May 10th, Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann met with Arvind Kejriwal after he got interim bail. Mann arrived at Delhi’s Tihar jail to meet the AAP supremo, Kejriwal, after the decision was announced. He thanked the apex court for the decision and also committed that the Aam Aadmi Party’s will would save democracy intensely. Though a temporary relief, the decision by the Supreme Court will ensure that the Delhi CM can campaign for the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. The Supreme Court ordered the Delhi CM to surrender on June 2, after the campaigning ends on June 1st.
