PETROL AND DIESEL PRICES CUT BY RS 2, AHEAD OF LOK SABHA ELECTION 2024

 Ahead of upcoming Lok Sabha election2024 , Union  Minister of petroleum and natural gas  Hardeep Singh Pura on Thursday announced cut in petrol and diesel prices by Rs 2 per liter across the India . the effect will  be came from March 15 .

The aim behind the reduction in  prices of petrol and diesel is to benefit consumer and reduce operating cost for over 58 lakh heavy goods vehicles  running on diesel, 6 crore cars and 27 crore two-wheelers . said the minister

From Friday,  the Price of petrol on Mumbai will cost Rs 104.21 a liter , Rs 103.94 in Kolkata Rs 100.75 in Chennai and price of diesel will be Rs 92.15  a liter in Mumbai , Rs 90.76 in Kolkata and Rs 92.15 in Chennai.

Minister Hardeep Singh Puri  shared this information through his  social media account, “ Oil Marketing Companies (OMP) have revised petrol and diesel price across the india and new prices would be effective from March 15, 06:00 AM”, the minister said in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

Speaking about the price cut, union minister of petroleum and natural gas Hardeep Singh Puri praised PM Narendra modi for his  leadership in stabilizing petrol and diesel prices in a country  .He further said India is the only country were the  prices of petrol and diesel has decreased only in the past two years.

Furthermore, he added “ by reducing the price of petrol and diesel by Rs 2 per liter, Prime minister Narendra modi once again proved that the welfare and convenience of his family of  crores of Indians is always his goals “ , Hardeep Singh Puri  said in a post X .

the decision taken by government to reduction in petrol and  diesel prices came  a week after the PM Narendra Modi announces cut of Rs 100 in domestic LPG cylinder and CNG as a women’s day Gift ahead of coming Lok Sabha election 2024.
