A 19-Year Old Boy was stabbed to death by three men in Meena Bazaar, Jama Masjid Area in Central Delhi. This incident was reported around 5:20am to the Police. The victim has been identified as a street vendor, Armaan. He sold different hookah flavours while his father managed a tea stall. In a statement released by the Times Of India, a senior police officer said that the victim got into an aggressive argument with the three accused men. Amidst the controversy, one of the three suspects pulled out a knife and stabbed the young-boy .The victim screamed out of pain which made several people gather around the scene.
Armaan’s father rushed him to the hospital immediately but he was unfortunately declared dead ‘on arrival’. The offenders fled the scene after the incident. According to investigators, the argument happened over hookah flavours. The three men were asking the victim to show them expensive hookah flavours constantly but were not purchasing any of the items. This led to a heated conflict between the four individuals which caused the intensional death of Armaan. A case has been filed under Section 302 (Murder) and 34 (Common Intention) of the Indian Penal Code .In today’s date, despite strict rules about carrying a weapon, several people are often killed in street fights.
There is no fear among people about the prosecution against murderers and offenders of violence. How soon will the suspects be identified and arrested? Will they be identified? As, the incident took place in an extremely crowded area and the offenders ran away immediately after. There is a very low probability of availability of surveillance footage. What makes people resort to physical abuse? Why cant verbal communication take place? Any vendor will question their customers if the customers continue to test their products but not purchase any. Is the country this unsafe? Can a person not complain without the fear of being stabbed or killed?.
